The 1808GC222MAT1A is a high voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) from Kyocera AVX, part of their High Voltage MLC Chip series for 600V to 5000V applications. This capacitor offers 2200 pF capacitance with a 2000V (2kV) voltage rating, using X7R dielectric which provides a stable temperature coefficient over -55°C to 125°C. The ±20% tolerance allows for economical high voltage designs.
Designed for demanding power electronics, this capacitor features low ESR at high frequencies, making it suitable for snubber circuits in high frequency power converters, resonators in switch mode power supplies (SMPS), and high voltage coupling/DC blocking. The 1808 package (4.60mm x 2.00mm) requires reflow soldering only, with careful attention to temperature gradients not exceeding 4°C per second during assembly.
Termination is plated Ni and Sn (RoHS compliant), and the part is supplied on 7" reels. As an X7R dielectric component, it is not intended for AC line filtering applications. Physical dimensions are 4.60mm length, 2.00mm width, and 2.20mm maximum thickness.
