The 1808GC102KAT1A is a high voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) from Kyocera AVX. It features a capacitance of 1000 pF with a voltage rating of 2000V (2kV) and a tolerance of ±10%. The X7R dielectric provides a stable capacitance over -55°C to +125°C. This capacitor is designed for applications such as snubbers in high frequency power converters, resonators in SMPS, and high voltage coupling/DC blocking. The component is housed in an 1808 (4520 Metric) surface mount package with plated Ni and Sn terminations, RoHS compliant. It is supplied on tape and reel (7 inch reel). Due to the high voltage rating, special care is needed during soldering: temperature gradient should not exceed 4°C per second and preheat must be within 50°C of peak temperature. Reflow soldering is recommended for this size.
