The Molex 1731070065 is a D-Sub mixed layout plug connector designed for panel mount applications. It has 17 positions arranged as 15 signal positions plus 2 coax or power positions, housed in a 2-row (3) shell size layout (DB, B).
Termination is via solder cup, and the flanged housing features an unthreaded shell mounting. The connector uses male pins with gold plating over nickel, ensuring reliable low-resistance connections. The steel shell is tin plated and includes grounding indents for improved EMI performance.
Electrical ratings include a current rating of 5 A per contact, test voltage of 1000 V (50 Hz, 1 min), insulation resistance of 5000 MΩ, contact resistance of 2.7 mΩ, and dielectric strength of 50 kV/mm.
