The 168103K100A-F is a metallized polyester film capacitor from Cornell Dubilier Electronics, part of the Type 168/185 radial lead series. It offers a nominal capacitance of 10000 pF (0.01 µF) with ±10% tolerance and a rated voltage of 100 VDC. The capacitor is non-inductively wound and non-polar, with low leakage current, making it suitable for general purpose applications such as bypass, decoupling, energy storage/discharge, and arc suppression.
The device is rated for operation from -55°C to +125°C, with voltage derating above 85°C. Dielectric withstand voltage is 1.6 times rated voltage for 2 seconds at +25°C. Dissipation factor is limited to 100 x 10^-4 at 1 kHz and 150 x 10^-4 at 10 kHz for capacitances up to 0.1 µF; the series also specifies maximum pulse rise times from 4 V/µs at 50 V to 100 V/µs at 400 V depending on working voltage. Total self inductance is approximately 7 nH.
Packaged in a radial box with 5.00 mm lead spacing, the capacitor uses tinned copper wire leads and PC pin termination for through-hole mounting. Case construction and epoxy fill meet UL94V-0 flammability rating. Available packaging options include bulk, tape and reel, and ammo pack.
