The 15KPA24CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 24V, a breakdown voltage range of 26.7V to 29.5V, and a clamping voltage of 40.7V. With a peak pulse power dissipation of 15kW (10/1000μs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 371A, this device offers robust transient suppression.
The diode is housed in a P600 axial leaded package with through-hole mounting, suitable for high-reliability applications. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has a typical thermal resistance of 8.0°C/W junction-to-lead and 40°C/W junction-to-ambient. The device is halogen-free, lead-free (Pb-free E3), and has a UL flammability rating of V-0.
Typical applications include protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic systems. The fast response time (typically less than 1.0ps) and low incremental surge resistance make it suitable for high-speed data line protection.
The reverse standoff voltage is 24V.
The clamping voltage is 40.7V at 371A peak pulse current.
The peak pulse power dissipation is 15kW (10/1000μs waveform).
It is available in a P600 axial leaded package for through-hole mounting.
Yes, it has 1 bidirectional channel.
The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
