The 15KPA22A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc. designed for general purpose protection of sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 22V and a clamping voltage of 37.1V at the peak pulse current of 407A. The device offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 15000W (15kW) under 10/1000μs waveform conditions.
This Zener-type TVS diode is packaged in a through-hole P600 axial package with matte tin lead-free plated terminations. It has a fast response time of typically less than 1.0ps and is rated for operating junction temperatures from -55°C to 175°C. The steady state power dissipation is 8.0W on an infinite heat sink.
In addition to its core transient voltage suppression capabilities, the 15KPA22A provides ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 (30kV air/contact) and EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-4. It is RoHS3 compliant, Pb-free, and halogen free, making it suitable for use in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications.
