The Protek Devices 15KP30A is a high-power transient voltage suppressor (TVS) designed to protect sensitive electronic components from voltage transients. This device features a robust construction with a void-free molded plastic body and axial leads solderable per MIL-STD-202, Method 208.

Key electrical characteristics include a peak pulse power dissipation of 15,000 Watts (10x1000 μs waveform), a steady-state power dissipation of 7.0 Watts, and a peak forward surge current capability of 200 Amps for uni-directional devices (8.3ms single half sine wave). Operating and storage temperatures range from -55°C to +175°C. It is also RoHS and Pb-free compliant.
