The Desco Statshield Standard Moisture Barrier Bag (part number 13812) is designed for the static-safe storage and shipping of moisture-sensitive electronic components.
This 3.5 mil thick bag measures 8 inches wide by 10 inches long (inside dimensions) and features an aluminum shielding layer for superior electrostatic discharge protection. It provides surface resistance of 1 x 10⁴ to < 1 x 10¹¹ ohms, discharge shielding of less than 10 nJ, and static shielding of 20 volts. The bag has a moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) of ≤0.02 g/100 sq. in./24 hours.
Mechanical properties include tensile strength of 9000 psi, puncture strength greater than 20 lbs, and heat seal strength exceeding 11 lb/in width. The closure system is user-defined (clips, heat seal, or tape). Heat sealing parameters are 300°F – 400°F temperature, 0.6 – 4.5 seconds time, and 30 – 70 PSI pressure.
The bag is silver in color, silicone-free and non-corrosive. It is packaged in bulk with a standard quantity of 100 per oversized shielding bag. The product complies with RoHS3, REACH, and Conflict Minerals requirements.
