The Vishay 123NQ100 is a high current Schottky rectifier diode rated for 100V reverse voltage and 120A average forward current. It features a low forward voltage drop of 0.91V at 120A (25°C) and a maximum junction temperature of 175°C, enabling reliable operation in demanding power conversion applications.
This diode is housed in a D-67 HALF-PAK module designed for chassis mounting, offering a lower profile and easier mounting compared to two parallel DO-5 packages. The module includes high purity epoxy encapsulation for enhanced mechanical strength and moisture resistance.
Key electrical characteristics include a reverse leakage current of 3 mA at 25°C, junction capacitance of 2650 pF at 5V/1MHz, and a non-repetitive surge current capability of 16000 A (5µs sine). The device also offers an avalanche energy rating of 15 mJ and a dv/dt capability of 10000 V/µs.
Typical applications include switching power supplies, converters, free-wheeling diodes, and reverse battery protection circuits. The guard ring design enhances ruggedness and long-term reliability.
The maximum DC reverse voltage (Vr) is 100V.
The average rectified forward current (Io) is 120A.
The forward voltage drop is 0.91V at 120A and 25°C.
The device is packaged in a D-67 HALF-PAK module for chassis mounting.
The junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
The maximum non-repetitive surge current is 16000A for a 5µs sine pulse.
