The Kyocera AVX 1210GC102KAT1A is a high voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) designed for demanding applications requiring stable capacitance and low losses at high frequencies. It offers 1000 pF capacitance with ±10% tolerance and a 2kV DC voltage rating. The X7R dielectric provides a temperature coefficient of ±15% over -55°C to 125°C, making it suitable for general purpose and power supply circuits.
Constructed in a 1210 (3225 Metric) surface mount package with dimensions 3.30mm x 2.50mm and a maximum thickness of 1.80mm. The terminations are plated nickel and tin, compliant with RoHS requirements. Typical applications include snubbers in high frequency power converters, resonators in switch-mode power supplies, and high voltage coupling/DC blocking.
Due to its size (1210 or larger), reflow soldering is recommended. It is critical to maintain a temperature gradient of no more than 4°C per second during soldering and to preheat within 50°C of the peak temperature. The part is supplied in 7" reel packaging for automated assembly.
