The Kyocera AVX 1206YD475MAT2A is a general-purpose surface-mount MLCC capacitor with X5R dielectric. It offers 4.7 µF capacitance rated at 16 V DC with ±20% tolerance. The X5R dielectric provides capacitance variation within ±15% over the operating temperature range of -55°C to +85°C. This component is well suited for decoupling and filtering applications in electronic circuits.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum dissipation factor of 12.5% for the 16 V rating, insulation resistance of at least 10000 MΩ or 500 MΩ·µF (whichever is less), and dielectric strength of 250% of rated voltage without breakdown or visual defects. The capacitor is housed in a standard 1206 (3216 Metric) package measuring 3.20 mm x 1.60 mm with a maximum thickness of 1.78 mm.
Termination is plated nickel and tin for reliable solderability. The component is designed for surface mount assembly and is available on 7-inch or 13-inch reels. As a Class II dielectric, X5R is suitable for applications where moderate temperature stability is acceptable.
