The Kyocera AVX 12068A181JAT2A is a multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) with a capacitance of 180pF and a voltage rating of 400V DC. It features an NP0 (C0G) dielectric, which offers excellent temperature stability with a low capacitance change over temperature. The capacitor is housed in a standard 1206 surface mount package, making it suitable for automated assembly processes.
NP0 (C0G) capacitors are known for their low loss and high Q characteristics, making them ideal for resonant circuits, timing applications, and high-frequency filtering. The 400V rating allows use in higher voltage DC applications where standard low-voltage MLCCs would not be suitable.
