The Kyocera AVX 12062C104KAZ2A is a 0.1 µF, 200V rated, X7R dielectric multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) in the standard 1206 (3216 metric) surface-mount package. It offers ±10% capacitance tolerance and operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
This MLCC features FLEXITERM soft termination technology, developed by Kyocera AVX to enhance mechanical flexure and temperature cycling performance. The industry standard for flexure is 2mm minimum; FLEXITERM provides up to 5mm of board flexure without internal cracking, ensuring electrical integrity under mechanical stress.
Typical applications include high flexure stress circuit boards, such as near board edges during depanelization, variable temperature environments like automotive engine sensors, and other automotive applications requiring improved reliability.
The capacitor is supplied in 7-inch tape and reel packaging for automated assembly. Its soft termination also helps mitigate the risk of cracking due to thermal expansion mismatch between the component and the PCB.
