The Mill-Max 110-44-640-41-001000 is a 40-position DIP IC socket designed for through-hole mounting. It features an open frame construction with a 2.54mm (0.100") pitch and 0.6" (15.24mm) row spacing, making it compatible with standard DIP packages. The contacts are made of beryllium copper with a tin finish (100µin over 50µin nickel), providing reliable electrical performance with a current rating of 3A and a maximum contact resistance of 10 mΩ.
The socket uses a 4-finger contact design for secure IC retention and low insertion force. The housing is molded from high-temperature PCT polyester, allowing operation over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The open frame design facilitates airflow and inspection of solder joints.
