The 10250-1210VE is a 50-position surface mount right angle receptacle from 3M's Mini D Ribbon (MDR) 102 Series. It features outer shroud contacts, gold plating (20.0µin minimum) on the wiping area, and a shielded design with board guide and flange (M2.6) for mechanical stability. The insulator is glass reinforced polyester (PCT) with UL 94V-0 flammability rating, and the contacts are copper alloy (C521) with nickel underplating. The shroud and latch hook are steel with nickel plating, and the screw lock is copper alloy with tin plating.
Electrically, the connector is rated for 1 A per contact, with insulation resistance greater than 5×10^8 Ω at 500 VDC and withstanding voltage of 500 Vrms for 1 minute. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C. The wiper-on-wiper contact design ensures reliable repetitive plugging and ultra-low signal skew, making it suitable for high data rate transmission.
This version (VE suffix) uses tin-lead solder tails and is not RoHS compliant. For RoHS compliance, order the -PE suffix version. The connector is surface mount compatible with a maximum process temperature of 240-250°C for 10 seconds.
