The 1.5SMC550CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 495V and a clamping voltage of 760V, with a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W (10/1000μs waveform).
The device offers excellent clamping capability and low incremental surge resistance. It is rated for a peak pulse current of 2A and has a response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage minimum. The 1.5SMC550CA is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface mount package, suitable for automated assembly.
This TVS diode is ideal for general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications. It is halogen free and lead-free (Pb-free E3) compliant, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
