The 1.5SMC47A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from the Littelfuse 1.5SMC series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. With a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W (10/1000µs waveform), it offers excellent clamping capability. The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 40.2V and a maximum clamping voltage of 64.8V at 23.5A peak pulse current. It is surface mounted in a DO-214AB (SMC) package, suitable for automated assembly. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. The device is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, and halogen-free. Applications include general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
