The Vishay 1.5SMC440A-M3/9AT is a surface-mount unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from the 1.5SMC series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning.
This device offers a peak pulse power capability of 1500W with a 10/1000 μs waveform, a maximum clamping voltage of 602V, and a peak pulse current of 2.5A. It features a glass passivated chip junction for robust performance and a very fast response time to transients.
The part is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) package and supports surface mount mounting for automated assembly. It is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited). The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
