The 1.5SMC30A is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., part of the 1.5SMC series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. Key specifications include a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W (10/1000μs waveform), reverse standoff voltage of 25.6V, and maximum clamping voltage of 41.4V. The diode can handle a peak pulse current of 36.7A and has a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. Typical leakage current is less than 1μA at the standoff voltage.
The device features a glass passivated chip junction, built-in strain relief, and excellent clamping capability. It is housed in a low-profile surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) package with matte tin lead-free plating. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, and storage temperature range is -65°C to 175°C. The diodes are RoHS compliant, halogen free, and meet MSL level 1. They are also Pb-free E3, meaning the second-level interconnect is Pb-free and the terminal finish is tin.
