The 1.5SMC200A-E3/9AT is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, part of the 1.5SMC series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 171V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 190V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 274V at a peak pulse current of 5.5A.
With a peak pulse power rating of 1500W (10/1000µs waveform), this TVS diode offers excellent clamping capability and very fast response time. It is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface mount package and operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. The part is RoHS3 compliant and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020.
This device is suitable for general purpose transient voltage protection in consumer, industrial, and telecommunication applications. Its low profile package and glass passivated chip junction make it ideal for automated placement and reliable operation.
