The 1.5SMC18CA-E3/57T is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, part of the 1.5SMC series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. With a peak pulse power rating of 1500W (10/1000μs waveform), it provides robust clamping performance.
Key electrical characteristics include a reverse standoff voltage of 15.3V, a breakdown voltage of 18V at 1mA, and a maximum clamping voltage of 25.2V at a peak pulse current of 59.5A. The device features a glass passivated chip junction for reliability and very fast response time.
The diode is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package with matte tin plated leads, suitable for automated placement.
