The 1.5SMC170A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse's 1.5SMC series, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 145V and a clamping voltage of 234V at a peak pulse current of 6.5A, with a peak pulse power rating of 1500W for 10/1000μs waveform.
This device is suitable for general purpose applications and is ideal for I/O interfaces, Vcc bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. It features low incremental surge resistance and typical leakage current less than 1μA. The diode is also rated for ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 up to 30kV air and contact discharge.
