The 1.5SMC100CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse's 1.5SMC series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. This device offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W (10/1000µs waveform) and features a reverse standoff voltage of 85.5V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 95V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 137V at a peak pulse current of 11.1A. The 1.5SMC100CA is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package with a supplier device package of DO-214AB (SMCJ). It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. Typical applications include general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The series also offers excellent ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2. The device is RoHS compliant and halogen free, with a moisture sensitivity level of 1 (unlimited).
