The 1.5SMC100A-E3/9AT is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode from Vishay's 1.5SMC series. It features a maximum reverse standoff voltage of 85.5 V and a clamping voltage of 137 V. With a peak pulse power rating of 1500 W (10/1000 μs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 10.9 A, this device provides robust protection against voltage transients.
The Zener construction ensures very fast response time and excellent clamping capability. It is designed for surface mount assembly in a standard DO-214AB (SMC) package. The device is RoHS-compliant (E3 suffix) and supports a wide junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include protection of sensitive electronics such as ICs and MOSFETs, signal lines in sensor units, and general-purpose transient suppression in consumer, industrial, and telecommunication systems.
