The 1.5KE68CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W (10/1000µs waveform) and features a reverse standoff voltage of 58.1V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 64.6V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 121V at the peak pulse current of 83A.
This device is housed in a rugged DO-201 (DO-201AA) axial leaded package suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has a fast response time of typically less than 1 ps. The TVS diode is ideal for general-purpose applications including I/O interface protection, VCC bus protection, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic equipment.
