The 1.5KE51A-E3/54 is a 1500W unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay Dale, part of the 1.5KE series. It provides transient voltage protection with a maximum reverse standoff voltage of 43.6V and a nominal breakdown voltage of 51V. The device clamps transients to a maximum voltage of 70.1V and can handle peak pulse currents up to 21.4A.
Designed for general-purpose circuit protection, this TVS diode is suitable for applications such as inductive load switching and lighting transient suppression on ICs, MOSFETs, and sensor signal lines. It offers excellent clamping capability and fast response time.
The diode is housed in a through-hole DO-201AA package with axial leads, enabling easy mounting on PCBs. It operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and is rated for 6.5W power dissipation at 75°C lead temperature. The part is RoHS compliant (E3 suffix).
