The 1.5KE47CA-E3/54 is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay, part of the 1.5KE series. It features a Zener technology with a glass passivated chip junction for reliable protection against voltage transients.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 40.2V, a nominal breakdown voltage of 47V (bidirectional), and a maximum clamping voltage of 64.8V at a peak pulse current of 23.1A (10/1000μs waveform). The device can handle 1500W of peak pulse power and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C.
This TVS diode is designed for through-hole mounting in a DO-201AA, DO-27, or Axial package. The axial leads are matte tin plated and solderable per J-STD-002. The molding compound is UL 94 V-0 rated. The device is RoHS3 compliant (E3 suffix) and is suitable for use in consumer, computer, industrial, automotive, and telecommunication applications for protecting sensitive electronics from inductive load switching and lightning-induced transients.
