The 1.5KE39A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse in the 1.5KE series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. The device offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W for a 10/1000µs waveform and features a fast response time of typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage.
Key electrical characteristics include a reverse standoff voltage of 33.3V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 37.1V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 53.9V at a peak pulse current of 28.2A. The diode is unidirectional and has a typical reverse leakage current of less than 1µA when the breakdown voltage exceeds 12V. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 200A for an 8.3ms half-sine wave.
The device is housed in a DO-201AA/DO-27 axial leaded package (supplier device package DO-201) and is designed for through-hole mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The part is halogen-free and RoHS compliant (Pb-free E3).
