The Littelfuse 1.5KE36 is a 1500W unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 30.8V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 34.2V, clamping transient overvoltages at 52.4V while handling a peak pulse current of 30.5A (10/1000μs waveform).
The device offers fast response time typically less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, making it suitable for high-speed transient protection. It is housed in a DO-201 (DO-201AA, DO-27, Axial) through-hole package and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The part is halogen free and has a Pb-free E3 termination finish with matte tin plating.
Typical applications include protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The 1.5KE series is glass passivated for reliability and meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD and IEC 61000-4-4 EFT requirements.
The reverse standoff voltage (VRWM) is 30.8V.
The minimum breakdown voltage (VBR) is 34.2V.
