The 1.5KE27CA-E3/54 is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, part of the 1.5KE series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 23.1V and a clamping voltage of 37.5V at a peak pulse current of 40A (10/1000μs waveform). With a peak pulse power rating of 1500W, it offers robust protection for a variety of applications.
This TVS diode utilizes a Zener technology with a glass passivated chip junction, ensuring excellent clamping capability and very fast response time. It is housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package, suitable for through-hole mounting. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 175°C, making it suitable for harsh environments.
The device is RoHS compliant (E3 suffix) and meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. It is commonly used in consumer, computer, industrial, automotive, and telecommunication applications for protecting ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines.
