The Taiwan Semiconductor 1.5KE250A is a 1500W unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed for general-purpose circuit protection. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 250V and a clamping voltage of 344V, ensuring effective clamping of transient overvoltages. The device can handle a peak pulse current of 4.5A under standard test conditions.
Based on Zener technology, this diode offers a single unidirectional channel and does not include power line protection. It is suitable for applications where robust voltage clamping is required in low-to-moderate energy environments.
The 1.5KE250A is housed in a through-hole DO-201AA, DO-27, or Axial package (supplier device package DO-201), making it compatible with traditional PCB layouts. Its operating temperature range is -55°C to 175°C, allowing use in harsh thermal environments.
