The 1.5KE22A-E3/54 is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay's TRANSZORB series, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a glass passivated chip junction for reliability and offers a peak pulse power of 1500W (10/1000 µs waveform). The device has a standoff voltage of 18.8V, breakdown voltage range of 20.9V to 23.1V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 30.6V at 49A peak pulse current. It is rated for operation from -55°C to 175°C junction temperature. The unidirectional version has a cathode band marking. The DO-201AA/DO-27 axial lead package allows through-hole mounting on PCBs. Typical applications include protection of ICs, MOSFETs, and sensor lines in consumer, industrial, automotive, and telecommunication equipment. The part is RoHS compliant (E3 suffix) and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited). AEC-Q101 qualified versions are available with HE3 suffix.
