The 1.5KE180A is a 1500W unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a breakdown voltage of 171V and a clamping voltage of 246V at a peak pulse current of 6.4A (10/1000μs waveform). The device offers fast response time of less than 1.0 ps from 0V to breakdown voltage.
This TVS diode is housed in a through-hole DO-201AA/DO-27 axial leaded package with matte tin lead-free plated terminals. It is rated for operating junction temperatures from -55°C to 175°C and has a steady state power dissipation of 6.5W. The part is halogen free and RoHS compliant.
Typical applications include protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The device is suitable for general purpose use and does not include power line protection.
