The 1.5KE180A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from STMicroelectronics, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 154V and a maximum clamping voltage of 317V at the peak pulse current. The device is rated for 1500W peak pulse power dissipation under a 10/1000μs waveform, making it suitable for surge protection in industrial, telecom, and consumer applications.
This TVS diode offers a fast response time of less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, ensuring rapid clamping of transient events. It is housed in a DO-201AA, DO-27, or axial leaded package, with a DO-201 supplier device package, and is designed for through-hole mounting. The device supports a single unidirectional channel and has a capacitance of 725pF at 1MHz.
The 1.5KE180A operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and features a thermal resistance of 15°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient. It is lead-free with matte tin plating and is halogen free per the datasheet. The plastic package is rated UL 94 V-0 for flammability.
