The 1.5KE160A is a 1500W peak pulse power unidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse, part of the 1.5KE series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events.
With a reverse standoff voltage of 136V and a maximum clamping voltage of 219V at 6.9A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform), it provides robust transient suppression. The device features a fast response time of less than 1 ps and a typical leakage current of less than 1µA for breakdown voltages above 12V.
The diode is housed in a DO-201AA/DO-27 axial leaded package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has a steady state power dissipation of 6.5W at 75°C lead temperature.
The 1.5KE160A is lead-free (Pb-free E3), halogen-free, and RoHS compliant. It meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection up to 30kV air and contact, and IEC 61000-4-4 EFT protection. Typical applications include general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
