The 1.5KE13A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 11.1V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 12.4V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 18.2V at 83.5A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform). The device can handle 1500W peak pulse power and 6.5W steady state power dissipation. It offers fast response time typically less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage.
The diode is glass passivated with a junction operating temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. It is suitable for general purpose applications including I/O interfaces, VCC bus protection, telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The part meets IEC-61000-4-2 ESD protection up to 30kV air and contact discharge.
The 1.5KE13A is packaged in a through-hole DO-201AA/DO-27 axial leaded package with matte tin finish. It is halogen free and Pb-free E3 compliant. Typical thermal resistance is 15°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient.
