The 1.5KE12A-E3/54 is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode from Vishay Dale, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 10.2V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 11.4V at 1mA test current. The clamping voltage is 16.7V at a peak pulse current of 89.8A (10/1000µs waveform).
This device delivers 1500W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000µs waveform and a low duty cycle of 0.01%. It also offers a peak forward surge current of 200A (8.3ms) and a power dissipation of 6.5W on an infinite heatsink at 75°C lead temperature. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
The 1.5KE12A-E3/54 is housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It is intended for general purpose applications such as protecting ICs, MOSFETs, and sensor signal lines from inductive load switching and lightning-induced transients.
