The 1.5KE100A is a 1500W transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse Inc. Designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features an 85.5V reverse standoff voltage and a clamping voltage of 137V at a peak pulse current of 11.1A (10/1000µs waveform). This unidirectional device offers a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage minimum.
The 1.5KE100A is housed in a through-hole DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 200A (8.3ms half sine wave, unidirectional only) and has a steady state power dissipation of 6.5W on an infinite heat sink. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C, with typical thermal resistance junction to lead of 15°C/W and junction to ambient of 75°C/W. This component is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and lead free (Pb-free E3). Suitable for general purpose applications including I/O interfaces, VCC bus, telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
