The TE Connectivity 1-2199298-4 is a 16-position DIP socket designed for through hole mounting. It features a 2.54mm (0.100") pitch and 7.62mm (0.300") row spacing, making it suitable for standard DIP IC packages. The socket uses dual leaf contacts with tin plating (60µin) over phosphor bronze, providing reliable electrical connections.
This open frame socket is housed in a glass-filled PBT thermoplastic insulator, offering good mechanical strength and thermal stability. It is rated for 1A per pin with a maximum contact resistance of 20 mΩ and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000V AC. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 105°C.
