This Harting D-Sub connector (part number 09 65 261 7712) is a straight-through, male-pin plug with 15 contacts arranged in two rows on a 2.84 mm row spacing. It is designed for through-hole wave soldering termination into a PCB with a minimum thickness of 1.6 mm. The connector carries a rated current of 6.5 A and features a copper alloy contact material with a noble metal surface over nickel for reliable signal integrity. The plated steel shell provides EMI shielding and mechanical strength, while integrated board locks secure the connector to the PCB. The flange uses 4-40 UNC threads for mating with a female screw lock; tightening torque for the screw lock is limited to 0.6 Nm. The connector is rated for performance level 3 and can withstand at least 50 mating cycles. The insert is black thermoplastic resin, glass-fibre filled (PBTP), rated UL94 V-0. The connector supports mezzanine (motherboard-to-daughtercard) connections and is not hot-pluggable.
