This is a Han HPR hood from Harting, part of the heavy-duty connector series designed for harsh outdoor environments. It is a size 16B hood with bottom cable entry and screw locking mechanism.
The housing is made of aluminum die-cast with a powder-coated finish in RAL 9005 jet black. It provides ingress protection ratings of IP65, IP68, and IP69/IPX9K, making it suitable for demanding conditions. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
The hood is approved to UL 1977 and CSA C22.2 No. 182.3, and complies with CE and DNV GL. It also meets fire protection requirements for railway vehicles per EN 45545-2. The locking mechanism is stainless steel with a tightening torque of 4 Nm.
