The Phoenix Contact 0903036 is an electronic miniature circuit breaker designed to selectively protect 24V DC load circuits. It offers active electronic current limitation for short circuits and an overload shutdown function starting from 1.1 times the nominal current (IN). This ensures faster reaction to overloads than the power supply unit, with residual current restricted to 1.3 - 1.8 times the nominal current.

This circuit breaker supports capacitive loads up to 20,000 µF, allowing them to be switched on without tripping unless an overload or short circuit occurs. Once a fault is detected, the load output is blocked, interrupting current flow. The device can be reactivated manually via a slide switch or through an electronic reset input. It has a design width of 12.5 mm and mounts onto NS 35 DIN rails using screw connections.
