The Phoenix Contact 0903025 is an electronic miniature circuit-breaker from the EC-E... series, designed to selectively protect 24V DC load circuits. It features an electronic shutdown characteristic curve with active current limitation for short circuits and an overload shutdown function starting from 1.1 times the nominal current (IN). This design ensures faster reaction to overloads than the power supply unit, restricting residual current to 1.3 - 1.8 times the nominal current.
This circuit-breaker supports capacitive loads up to 20,000 µF, allowing them to be switched on without tripping unless an overload or short circuit occurs. Once a fault is detected, the load output is blocked, and current flow is interrupted. The device can be reactivated manually via a slide switch or through an electronic reset input (RE).
With a current rating of 3A and a voltage rating of 24V DC, the 0903025 is suitable for various applications. It has a design width of 12.5 mm and is equipped with screw connections for easy installation onto NS 35 DIN rails. Signaling of operating and fault states is provided by a multi-color LED and an integrated status output.
Wiring and signaling tasks are simplified using power rails and plug-in bridges. The unit offers clear signaling through LED, SF status output, or F alarm output. This electronic circuit-breaker is an integrated fail-safe element adapted to the nominal current.
The voltage rating is 24 V DC.
It is designed for DIN Rail mounting.
The nominal current is 3 A.
It is a solid state circuit breaker.
It has 1 pole.
It uses a slide switch actuator.
Overload shutdown occurs at 1.1 times the nominal current.
