The Kyocera AVX 08055C683KAT2A is a surface-mount multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) using X7R dielectric. It offers 0.068 µF capacitance with ±10% tolerance and a 50V DC voltage rating. The X7R dielectric provides a capacitance change of ±15% over the -55°C to +125°C operating temperature range.
This capacitor comes in an 0805 (2012 Metric) package measuring 2.01mm x 1.25mm with a maximum thickness of 0.94mm. It features plated nickel and tin terminations and is supplied on 7" reels. The dissipation factor for the 50V rating is ≤10%, and insulation resistance is ≥10,000 MΩ or ≥500 MΩ·µF.
Designed for general purpose applications, this MLCC is suitable for use in power supplies, decoupling circuits, and signal filtering. The X7R formulation is one of the most popular Class II ceramic dielectrics, offering stable capacitance over a wide temperature range while providing volumetric efficiency for board-level designs.
