The Kyocera AVX 08055A3R0DAT2A is a surface mount multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) with a capacitance of 3 pF and a tolerance of ±0.5pF. It is rated for 50V DC operation. The capacitor uses a C0G (NP0) dielectric, which is a Class I temperature-compensating ceramic material known for its stability. According to the datasheet, C0G (NP0) ceramics offer one of the most stable capacitor dielectrics available, with a capacitance change of 0 ±30ppm/°C over the operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. This results in less than ±0.3% capacitance variation from -55°C to +125°C. Capacitance drift is negligible at less than ±0.05%.
The component is housed in an 0805 (2012 Metric) package with plated nickel and tin terminations. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging (7" reel) suitable for automated assembly. The capacitor is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited). Designed for general purpose applications, it is suitable for use in timing, tuning, decoupling, and filtering circuits where stable capacitance over temperature and life is required.
