The 08055A2R5CAT2A is a surface-mount multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) from Kyocera AVX, featuring a C0G (NP0) dielectric. C0G (NP0) is a Class I ceramic formulation that offers one of the most stable capacitor dielectrics available, with a capacitance change of 0 ±30 ppm/°C over the operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. This capacitor has a capacitance of 2.5 pF with a tolerance of ±0.25 pF and a rated voltage of 50 V.
Electrical characteristics include a minimum Q factor of 450 at 1 MHz and an insulation resistance of at least 10,000 MΩ. The component is housed in an 0805 (2012 Metric) package with plated nickel and tin terminations, and is supplied on tape and reel for automated assembly.
This MLCC is suitable for general purpose applications requiring high stability and low losses, such as timing circuits, filters, and RF coupling. The C0G dielectric ensures minimal capacitance drift over time and temperature, making it ideal for precision circuits.
