This device is a surface mount multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) from Kyocera AVX, using C0G (NP0) Class I dielectric. C0G offers one of the most stable capacitor dielectrics available, with a capacitance change of less than ±0.3% from -55°C to +125°C and negligible drift. The nominal capacitance is 120 pF with a tolerance of ±1%, and the rated DC voltage is 50V.
The capacitor exhibits high stability and low losses, with a minimum Q factor of 1000 at 1 MHz. Insulation resistance is a minimum of 10,000 MΩ or 500 MΩ·µF, whichever is less, when charged at rated voltage. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C.
The component is supplied in an 0805 (2012 Metric) package with plated nickel and tin terminations. Packaging is tape and reel in 13" reels, suitable for automated pick-and-place assembly. This MLCC is ideal for general-purpose decoupling, bypass, timing, and high-frequency circuits where capacitance stability over temperature is critical.
