The 08053A222KAT2A is a surface-mount multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) manufactured by Kyocera AVX. It offers a capacitance of 2200 pF with a rated voltage of 25 V. The capacitor uses a C0G (NP0) dielectric, which is a Class I ceramic material known for its excellent temperature stability: capacitance change is less than ±0.3% over the operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. This makes it suitable for timing, tuning, and filtering applications where stable capacitance is critical.
The component is housed in an 0805 (2012 metric) package with plated nickel and tin terminations, designed for surface mount assembly. It is supplied on tape and reel (7" reel) for automated pick-and-place processes. The capacitor is rated for general purpose applications and meets typical C0G specifications including high Q factor (≥1000 for values ≥30 pF) and high insulation resistance (10,000 MΩ or 500 MΩ-µF minimum).
