This is a Kyocera AVX 0402 surface-mount multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) with a capacitance of 100 pF, rated voltage of 50V DC, and C0G (NP0) dielectric. C0G is a Class I ceramic formulation that offers one of the most stable capacitor dielectrics available. Capacitance change with temperature is 0 ±30 ppm/°C, which translates to less than ±0.3% capacitance change over the full operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. Capacitance drift and hysteresis are negligible at less than ±0.05%.
This component is housed in a compact 0402 (1005 Metric) package with dimensions of 1.00mm x 0.50mm and a maximum thickness of 0.56mm. Termination finish is plated nickel and tin (Ni/Sn), making it suitable for standard soldering processes. The part is supplied on 7-inch reels in tape-and-reel packaging.
Typical applications include general-purpose coupling, decoupling, filtering, and timing circuits where stability and low loss are required. The C0G dielectric provides excellent high-frequency performance and is widely used in consumer electronics, telecommunications, and industrial equipment.
