It supports 50 Ohm impedance operation from DC through 40 GHz, making it suitable for high-frequency test and measurement, microwave communications, and radar systems.

 

Key electrical performance includes a return loss of at least 32 dB from DC to 12 GHz, 26 dB from 12 to 26.5 GHz, and 21 dB from 26.5 to 40 GHz, with insertion loss not exceeding 0.05√f dB. Insulation resistance is 5 GOhm minimum, proof voltage is 500 V rms, and working voltage is 250 V rms.

 

Mechanically, the adapter features a straight, free-hanging (in-line) body. RPC-2.92 side uses a threaded coupling nut with recommended torque 0.80 to 1.10 Nm; the SMP side uses a snap-on fastening. The RPC-2.92 interface is mechanically compatible with RPC-3.50 and SMA connectors. Center contacts are gold-plated copper beryllium; the RPC-2.92 outer contact is passivated stainless steel, and the SMP outer contact is gold-plated copper beryllium. The dielectric is PEEK. Rated for at least 500 mating cycles on the RPC-2.92 side and up to 1000 cycles on the SMP side depending on detent type.
